Shauna brings together two of the most powerful body-based modalities available. Somatic therapy works with the nervous system to gently process and release trauma, tension, and unresolved experiences held within the body. Yoga practices draws on breath, movement, and mindfulness to support regulation, restore balance, and reconnect you with a sense of vitality and ease.
Shauna is a qualified somatic therapist, yoga therapist, and counsellor. Her work is trauma-informed and guided by a compassionate, client-led approach, supporting each person at their own pace.
This is a space to slow down, heal, reconnect, and come back to yourself.

Hi I’m Shauna
Welcome to Somawave ~ a space supporting women through somatic therapy, movement, and community.
My path into this work has been shaped by both lived experience and formal study. I bring over 20 years of experience in body-based therapies and trauma-informed support, with qualifications in holistic counselling, somatic therapy, yoga teaching, Ayurvedic practices, and doula support for major life transitions. I’ve trained in breathwork, Yoga Trance Dance™ and preparation/integration for assisted therapies and altered states of consciousness.
I support women, mothers, carers, families, and fellow practitioners seeking a return to themselves. Somawave sessions are a place to slow down, reconnect with your body, and feel supported through whatever you’re holding or moving through.
At the heart of my work is a simple intention: to offer a space where you can be fully met in your grief, your growth, your remembering, and your return to wholeness. Somawave is a space where your story, your body, and your way of being are honoured.
