The overwhelm of a stressful, traumatic, or life-altering event can leave the nervous system dysregulated long after the experience has passed. It may feel as though you are stuck in patterns that are hard to shift, moving into automatic responses such as shutting down, spacing out, becoming reactive, or distracting away from what you feel.

In private sessions, we gently explore how your unique nervous system has been working to protect you from overwhelm, and what it may need now to begin feeling more safe, supported, and able to settle in the present moment.

As the nervous system begins to regulate, many people experience greater capacity to move through life’s ups and downs with more steadiness, choice and connection to themselves and the world around them.

Drawing on somatic therapy, yoga-based practices, breath awareness, and mindfulness, sessions offer a gentle path back to your body’s natural sense of balance, wholeness, and ease.

  • Somatic therapy is a body-centred therapeutic approach that integrates the mind and body to support healing from stress, trauma, and emotional challenges. It combines traditional talk therapy with awareness of physical sensations, movement, and nervous system regulation.

    Rather than relying on talk therapy alone, somatic therapy brings awareness to bodily sensations, breath, movement, and internal responses to help release stored stress and restore a greater sense of safety, balance, and ease.

    It is based on the understanding that overwhelming experiences can continue to live in the body long after the event has passed. Sessions gently support these unresolved patterns to be processed gradually, without needing to relive the past.

    This approach can be supportive for people experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, tension, emotional reactivity, shutdown, or a sense of feeling stuck, helping them reconnect with more calm, resilience, and connection within themselves.

  • Somatic Therapy may be supportive for people who have moved through stressful, overwhelming, or traumatic experiences and feel the effects are still present in their body or everyday life.

    You do not need to have experienced one major traumatic event for this work to be helpful. Sometimes it is the build-up of ongoing stress, repeated overwhelm, or experiences where you did not feel safe, supported, or able to fully process what happened.

    This approach may be beneficial if you notice anxiety, chronic tension, feeling on edge, emotional overwhelm, shutdown, difficulty relaxing, disrupted sleep, or a sense of feeling disconnected from yourself.

    Somatic Therapy can support healing after experiences such as accidents or injuries, surgery or illness, grief and loss, relationship breakdown, sexual assault, abuse, bullying, childhood neglect, birth trauma, medical trauma, burnout, workplace stress, or periods of prolonged emotional strain.

    It may also be supportive if you simply know something does not feel settled within you, and you are seeking a gentle path back to greater calm, resilience, and connection.

  • We begin by exploring what has been happening for you and setting clear goals for the work ahead. Some sessions may feel more structured, with practical tools and clear focus areas, while others may be more open and responsive to what you need support with in that moment.

    Sessions then explore how these experiences may be showing up in your body through tension, overwhelm, shutdown, restlessness, or difficulty relaxing.

    Using somatic therapy, breathwork, mindfulness, and gentle body-based practices, we work in practical ways to help you feel more regulated, supported, and connected.

    There is no pressure to retell painful experiences in detail. The focus is on creating change in the present, building capacity, and helping you move through it.

Private embodiment sessions are designed to support your body and mind through movement, breath, and practical body awareness.

Sessions include yoga, movement meditation, breathwork, embodied dance, massage, and relaxation practices tailored to your needs, goals, and experience level. Each session is adapted to your current experience level and supports steady progress over time.

The focus is on improving how your body feels and functions while helping you better understand tension, stress, and physical patterns held in the body.

Sessions can help reduce tightness, improve movement, build strength, support a calmer nervous system, flexibility, mobility, posture, balance, coordination, stress management, and overall wellbeing.

Doula Support for Life Transitions & Integration

Compassionate support through birth, postpartum, grief, divorce, major diagnosis, end of life and expanded states of consciousness. Together we create space for you to feel held, informed and supported as you move through these sacred experiences.

  • This may be for you if you are preparing for birth, adjusting to life with a new baby, moving through grief or major transitions such as dis-ease or end of life. These sessions offer guidance, presence and reassurance through what can feel like overwhelming and emotional times.

  • We’ll meet either online or in person and talk about what kind of support you’d like. Whether it’s help preparing for expanded states, birth, postpartum, menoapuse, major illness or end of life care for your family, doula services are all-encompassing. Coaching and support during divorce is also offered.
